Do we supply towels & linen?
Yes, your apartment is equipped with towels, hand towels, bath mats & all linen
Do we supply tea, coffee etc?
Is there a cleaning fee?
The cleaning is included in the tariff, however the following must be done to avoid an excess cleaning fee.
Fridge must be emptied of all perishable open food items, all rubbish must be taken up to the outside bin enclosure located to the right of the garage, all recyclable bottles & containers must be sorted into the recycle bags provided & taken to the bin enclosure, paper must be neatly bundled & tied with string provided all cardboard boxes must be flattened & neatly stacked in the bin enclosure, all kitchens items must be washed & put away or at least in the dishwasher with the cycle on, all oven trays must be left clean, BBQ’s must be left clean
What does ‘self-contained’ mean?
‘Self-contained’ means that you can prepare your own meals in the property and you will have washing facilities.
All linen and towels are included. We do not do daily servicing of apartments.
Starter packs (ie limited supplies) of detergent, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, garbage bags are supplied. You will need to bring more of these or buy locally if you are here for more than two nights.
Do we have laundry facilities?
Yes each apartment has washing machine, dryer, laundry sink iron & ironing board
Do we supply hair dryers?
Yes, each apartment has 1 hair dryer
Is there internet access?
Yes, each apartment has free WIFI
Are any meals included in the tariff?
No, we are fully self contained apartments with top off the range appliances in beautiful kitchens that you will enjoy cooking in. Or if you’re not into cooking try one of the many excellent restaurants that Thredbo has to offer.
How far from the ski slopes are we located?
We are located in Bobuck lane which runs parallel to Friday drive so we are 1 street back from the mountain. The view from your apartment looks up to High Noon Ski run. The shuttle bus stops in front of our building & drops you to Friday flat ticket office as well as numerous others points around Thredbo. It is approx a 5 minute bus ride to Friday flat.
How often do the shuttle buses leave?
During the winter season, free shuttle buses run regularly around the village, signs at some bus stops display operating times. An important note that the small shuttle buses operate between the overnight car parks and the village lodges until 9pm Sunday through to Thursday (inclusive) and until midnight on Friday nights and Saturday during busy times. The big red bus services only the village to Friday Flat route.
Shuttle buses do not operate during summer.
How far is it into Thredbo village?
It is an easy 3 minute walk down hill & then down some stairs into the village.
Is there a supermarket?
Yes Thredbo village has a supermarket, they have a great selection of meats vegetables & all other grocery items.There is also a post office, newsagent, bottle shop & pharmacy
Will I need chains when I drive up?
For up to date road conditions call the RTA roads hotline on 132 701. Local area tune to 2XL on 92.1 FM or 97.7 Snow FM for regular updates. Chains are available for hire from Jindabyne, Khancoban and Cooma, However you are by law required to carry chains in your car while in the National Park, unless you have a 4 wheel drive. If you do find yourself without chains when in Thredbo you can also hire them from Thredbo service station for $50 & then drop them back to the BP in Jindabyne on your way home
How much is it to get into the National Park?
The daily rate (24hrs) per car in the winter is $29, if you are here for over a week it is best to get an annual permit for $190, this is valid for one year and allows you entry into all NSW National Parks. Buy your pass from the Entrance Station 13km before Thredbo, the Snowy Region Visitors Centre in Jindabyne or Thredbo Information Centre.
How long does it take to get to Thredbo?
A trip from the Sydney CBD takes approx five hours. From Melbourne it takes about 5.5 hours. Canberra is only a 2.5 hour drive. Cooma is approx a one hour and 10 minute drive.
Can I toboggan?
No, to maximise safety for guests, employees, and resort property, Thredbo prohibits the use of toboggans and other miscellaneous snow sliding equipment that is associated with “Snow Play” within our leasehold area.
Do we have parking?
Yes, we have an enclosed garage with 1 car space per apartment.
If you require more parking Thredbo can park 2,500 cars. There are two kinds of parking – overnight car parking for those staying overnight or longer and day parking for those here just for the day. These are signposted accordingly.
Can we hire our ski gear in Thredbo?
Yes, if you need to hire it is best to do so in Thredbo as if you have any problems with your equipment during your stay it is easy for you to just pop back into Thredbo hire to get it sorted out.
When I book my accommodation, when do I have to pay?
To secure your booking dates an instant payment is required as listed below.
New bookings outside 60-days before arrival: 20% non-refundable deposit payable.
New Bookings inside 60-days before arrival: 100% deposit payable.
Do I have to leave a security bond?
We hold a credit card pre-authorisation as a security bond as outlined in our Terms & Conditions. These pre-authorisations will automatically release from the credit card after 3-7 business days depending on your financial institution if no further charges are required.
Why do I need to fill out the online Guest Registration Check-in?
We are a contactless check-in and check-out system. We simply require your online check-in to verify your information, as we do not see you on your arrival. It is a secure and online system equivalent to providing an ID and a credit card at a hotel reception or car hire.
Can I bring more people that the property states?
No, each property has a maximum number of total people as stated. The maximum occupancy listed includes all adults, children & infants that will occupy the property.
What happens if I accidentally damage something at the property?
Please advise us as soon as possible on 02 6457 2144 to discuss.
How and when can I get the keys to the property?
Our properties are all accessible via key-code or key-coded lock-box. On your arrival date, we will advise via SMS when the property is ready for your arrival.
What time can I check into my accommodation?
Check in time is 4pm, however, if your property is ready earlier, we will let you know.
What if I arrive earlier, can I check in early?
Yes, ONLY if the property is ready for you.
Can I park my car at the property if I arrive early?
No, please do not park at the property before you are advised to do so. The cleaners need the car parks to access the accommodation.
What time is check out?
Check out is 10am.
What if I am arriving out of office hours?
No problems, as all our properties have key-less entry. Please ensure you bring all necessary information and maps provided.
What if we leave something behind?
Please call our office on 02 6457 2144 and we can have the cleaners look. Any items posted back will be charged via pre-paid postage parcels.
Where do we put our garbage?
Garbage enclosures are located outside your accommodation in the wooden boxes. Please ensure they are kept closed to stop the wildlife and birds getting in. Click here for recycling information.
What if something is broken or not working when we arrive?
Please inform our office on 02 6457 2144 as soon as possible or send a message/photo via the Guest Registration Portal.
Can I bring my dog on holiday?
Thredbo is located inside the Kosciuszko National Park and pets are not permitted in the National Park or in any of our properties.
